USA Netball made a powerful statement: we're on the right path with the right people. Having a talented and dedicated team makes all the difference. This weekend demonstrated our progress and potential, positioning us for continued growth and success. I'm deeply grateful for the commitment and sacrifices each of you made. Our current training squad's hard work and progress are truly evident. Special thanks to: - Our amazing coaching staff and management team. - Melisia, President of the DC Dragons, for her exceptional hospitality. Her provisions allowed our coaching staff to focus on coaching and our management team to manage seamlessly. She embodied the true spirit of hosting, and her support was invaluable. - Our Technical Team, for their amazing support and expertise. Your behind-the-scenes work ensured a seamless experience for all. As leader of this organization, I'm honored and humbled by your efforts. The organization considered a range of factors beyond just skill level, including: - Independent workout discipline - Communication skills on and off the court - Follow-up and follow-through - Enthusiasm and commitment - Hard work and dedication - Team interaction and activities This approach aims to develop well-rounded athletes who embody the values of USA NETBALL. Selection to the Premier League Launch team is a significant step towards becoming a Flying Eagle, the elite squad that represents the USA on the international stage. From a pool of 21 talented players, USA NETBALL is proud to announce the selection of 12 athletes to represent the United States at the USA NETBALL Premier League Launch. These athletes have demonstrated exceptional skills, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. The selected players are: - Joanna (Connecticut) - Natalie, Natasha, and Sasha Lee (Florida) - Nidia and Veajah (Georgia) - Andrea, Koketso, Mignon, and Kristen (Washington DC) - Ro Iva (Seattle) - Gabrielle (studying in England) Congratulations to these outstanding athletes! FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE USA NETBALL Announces Histo FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE USA NETBALL Announces Historic All-Male Squad USA NETBALL is proud to announce the formation of its inaugural all-male squad, set to represent the United States in the Americas Region Male Regional Championship in September. The landmark event will take place in St. Kitts, at the Bad Mavis stadium. This milestone marks a significant shift in the perception of netball in the USA, as the organization strives to promote the sport as inclusive and accessible to all. "This is an exciting time for USA NETBALL, as we continue to challenge traditional norms and push the boundaries of what's possible," said the President of USA NETBALL. "Netball is a sport for everyone, regardless of gender, age, or background. We're committed to growing the game and making it a mainstream phenomenon in the USA." Kevin Nickie, Chair of the USA Male Elite Netball Movement, echoed the sentiment, stating, "We're thrilled to assemble the first male squad to represent the USA in an official capacity. Our goal is to make a lasting impression at the tournament and garner the recognition our sport deserves. This is a pivotal moment in the history of USA NETBALL, and we're honored to be a part of it." The male team will also compete in the upcoming USA NETBALL Premier League Launch in Atlanta, Georgia, in August.
